WHAT? an evening of music with kristin & russell.
YEAH, BUT WHAT EXACTLY? well, geez. a variety of stuff. classical art songs. jazz. musical theatre tunes. piano playin'. beware... a trumpet duet. and free door prizes and goody bags, darn it!

... by BUS / FOOT

- take the 99 B-Line or any bus that says “UBC” on it
- get off at the very last stop (UBC bus loop)
- walk towards the corner of East Mall and Memorial Road so that:

Brock Hall - West Wing is behind you

Buchanan Tower is to your right

- keep walking down Memorial Road

- if you pass that W. Robert Wyman concrete plaza thingie, you’re on the right track!

- keep walking ahead, and keep your eyes peeled for the giant tuning fork (big brown metal thing that looks like a fat twig)

... by CAR / BATMOBILE:

(coming from the South, i.e. Richmond and other wayward places, tee hee.)

- take SW Marine Drive all the way down, baby.

- SW Marine Drive becomes NW Marine Drive

- as Marine Drive becomes less of a “highway” and more of a "winding road", on your left, you’ll see weird sketchy bushes concealing Wreck Beach. This is a good sign.

- you’ll drive by things like Totem Park residence, Lower Mall Research Station, and Place Vanier residence on your right. You’re getting close.

- you’ll see a sign for Nitobe Memorial Gardens on your right. You’re red-hot.

- Immediately keep your eyes peeled for West Mall, because that’s where you’ll be turning RIGHT

[If you pass by the Chan Centre, you’ve gone too far]

- You’re now on West Mall. Go straight for a brief distance until you hit Memorial Road.

- You can either turn left on Memorial Rd. into the parking lot and try to find meter parking
(the Music Building is at the top of the stairs at the end of this parking lot!)

- OR you can turn right on Memorial Rd. and park in the Fraser River Parkade ($3.50 Evening Flat Rate, I think.)

Are you excited? We are! Our numbers are looking and sounding better and better. We think it's going to be a really fun night!

So many people are/will be helping us put this together- we're lucky to have such talented and cool friends! Byron's helped me with the goody bags, Emma and Elijah are going to greet you as you arrive, and then there are the guest performers...

Well, some of our newest posters say who we are, so it's time to write it here too.

We are Kristin Fung and Russell Cripps, two voice majors at UBC, who are putting on a concert on April 20th, in Gessler Hall at the UBC Music Building.

It's going to be SO fun! We're not required to perform, and nobody's marking us, so this is our chance to sing our favourite songs.

Yes indeed- there will be goody bags, and free door prizes! No false advertising on our posters.
As for the warthogs, honeysuckle, schoolgirls, Paganini, therapists, and triple lattes.... we're not lying, but we're not promising to hand them out to all of you. That's a lot to ask!
